* Fewer problems than either gold or silver, and is tougher.
* Susceptible to surface corrosion, this does not normally happen unless it is exposed to acid vapors or kept outdoors and exposed to the weather for long periods of time.
* Being harder than silver or gold, far less subject to nicks, scratches, and the effects of normal wear over time.
* Many gold and silver articles are plated which increases the risk of the plating wearing off over time and exposing the vulnerable base metals beneath. Stainless steel articles are NOT because they are solid, and are never plated.
* Stainless steel can take a high polish.
Properly polished stainless steel has an appearance approaching that of platinum. When held beside stainless steel jewelry for a visual comparison, platinum is slightly yellower in color. Some people, however, prefer the more subtle look of stainless steel articles of jewelry which have been brushed to a satin finish, rather than highly polished.

Nice post. Thanks for sharing such a very informative post. Stainless steel jewelry is a quickly growing style of jewelry. It is very versatile. Stainless steel wire accessories are very popular now-a-days. It has lots of benefits, so I like to wear this type of jewelry.
